David ryall (harry poter star) died on december 25..R.I.P
Actor Mark Gatiss tweeted the news on Saturday, Dec. 27, writing, "The great David Ryall left us on Christmas Day. A twinkling, brilliant, wonderful actor I was privileged to call a friend. RIP."
Ryall's daughter Charlie also tweeted about her father's passing, writing, "Thank you to @Markgatiss and everyone who sent kind words of love & encouragement about my Dad, the brilliant David Ryall."
Charlie wanted to make sure that David's lengthy career wasn't simply summed up by his role in the blockbuster Potter film, writing, "Please take a moment to remember his huge five-decade-spanning career outside of the more well-known TV & film. The ‘Anaconda’ hitmaker recently split from her boyfriend of 12 years and in an extensive Twitter rant, Nicki has described her ex as an “ungrateful evil soul”.

US Pastor dies after singing a pharrel william song "Happy"
It became the last service for the clergyman held at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. The 60-year-old was singing the famous song “Happy” by Pharell Williams when he suddenly collapsed on the alter.
It is alleged that the death occurred as a result of a heart attack. All the attempts of the congregation to save the pastor’s life yielded no results.
Speaking after the incident, the late cleric’s colleague, Pastor Greg Hunter, said he wanted people to remember Humphrey for his years of committed service, which he loved with his whole heart.
Hunter said:
“We are putting emphasis that he passed doing what he loved to do and he loved preaching and that’s the relationship he had with God and when he preached he gave it his all. So he passed doing the thing that he loved to do and that is [to] share the word of God and minister to the body of Christ.”
Hunter paid tribute to the late pastor:
“For years he walked the streets and met with drug addicts and gangbangers that [were] against each other and [made them] begin to love. He brought all people together.”

What really happened to Bovi, because he was supposed to host the show?
Yes. He was supposed to host but I don’t really know what happened. He just called me and said he won’t be able to do it; that he needed me to step-in for him. So, I’m like the rescuer.
You have been part of The Headies for long. What’s your reaction about the late commencement?
Honestly, if I didn’t know what really happened; and what has been happening ever since, I would have crucified them. But the turn over time was too short. There was an event here (at the Eko Hotel, the venue of The Headies, a day before); they didn’t have access to the hall until early hours of the morning. And normally, the organizers of Oscars and Grammy have access to the venues a week before the D-Day or months. For us, it is crazy here.
Notwithstanding the mistakes they made was to fix such magnificent event in December, festive period. This late start is becoming serious. It is too long. I’m sure something will be done.

Man aressted for beaten police inspector
A young man in Edo State has been arrested and charged to court after he allegedly beat up a Police Inspector.
20-year-old Mamode Samson was accused of hitting Officer Monday Okungbowa of the Ogida Police Station in Benin and also tearing his uniform.
Mamode is also alleged to have assaulted three siblings, Jennifer Okunrobo, Uyiosa Okunrobo and Eghosa Okunrobo on December 20.
The suspect has been arraigned before an Egor Magistrate’s Court but pleaded not guilty to the three-count charge.
The case was adjourned to January 7, 2015.

I join all of our Christian compatriots in giving thanks to God Almighty for the divine gift of Jesus Christ the Messiah whose earthly incarnation we commemorate today.
As we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ who the Prophet Isaiah heralded as the Prince of Peace and Wonderful Counselor, I believe it is very appropriate that we all, Christians and non-Christians alike, reflect more deeply on the virtues and ideals which the Messiah espoused during his earthly mission.
To my mind, there can be no doubt that the greater internalization of the virtues of love for our fellowmen, tolerance, Godliness, honesty, fairness to others, selflessness, and peaceful co-existence with others, by all adult Nigerians, and the inculcation of the same in our youth, will definitely help our dear nation to overcome most of its present challenges.
Peace and love for others, especially, were a constant refrain in the Messiah’s teachings and admonitions to mankind.
Therefore, as we celebrate his birth, I urge all Nigerians to offer special prayers for a greater manifestation of divine peace in our country and the vanquishing of all demons of hatred, divisiveness and disunity in our midst.
As we celebrate Christmas, let us also remember and offer special prayers for all of our countrymen, women and children who have suffered and continue to suffer untold hardship, deprivation and death at the hands of terrorists and insurgents.
Let us also continue to pray for our gallant soldiers and security agents who remain at the forefront of the national effort to overcome terrorism and violent extremism, even as the rest of the nation celebrates Christmas and the coming New Year.
In this season of goodwill, I urge all patriotic Nigerians to rededicate themselves to doing all within their powers to support the brave men and women of our armed forces in the ongoing war against terrorism, and also support the Federal Government’s efforts to provide more succour to the hapless victims of terrorist atrocities.
The Victims’ Support Fund which we have established to raise additional funds to assist our compatriots who have been adversely affected by continuing insecurity in parts of our country remains active.
I call on all individuals and corporate organisations who have not yet done so, to donate more generously to the Fund which is being efficaciously deployed to ease the sufferings of victims of terrorist violence in the country.
Dear Compatriots, we are also celebrating this Christmas against the background of preparations for next year’s general elections.
I seize this opportunity to reassure the nation that my administration will give the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) all necessary support to ensure that it delivers very free, fair, credible and acceptable elections in 2015.
National security agencies will also be given all necessary support to enhance their ability to ensure that the elections which should strengthen democracy in our country are peaceful and violence free.
I urge our political class to be law- abiding and place the greater interests of our nation above all personal or sectional interests in the countdown to the elections.
Let us all be more statesman like, conduct issues-based campaigns, and eschew the promotion of falsehood, division and hatred of others as we seek the votes of our countrymen in what should be a peaceful competition among contending points of view for the progress and development of our dear nation.
I remain convinced that God Almighty is still with us as a nation even in the midst of our current challenges which we shall surely overcome with greater unity of purpose, dedication, commitment and perseverance.
Let this year’s celebration of the birth of Christ the Messiah rekindle, strengthen and reaffirm our faith in our national ability to overcome all challenges, with God on our side.

13 year old girl straped with explosives in Kano
The Kano state Police command today Dec. 24th arrested a 13 year old girl identified as Zahra'u Babban Gida who was found with explosives strapped on her body opposite the Kantin-Kwari textile market, same place where two female suicide bombers detonated bombs two weeks ago killing many.
The Kano State Commissioner of Police Alhaji Tashid Aderile Shinaba said she was arrested by police officers who found her moves suspicious. When interrogated, the young girl said her father was the one who took her to the people who strapped her with the bombs....

President Goodluck Jonathan and Vice President Namadi Sambo will spend over N4b on food and travels in 2015, according to the details of the budget proposal submitted to the National Assembly by Finance Minister Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala.
The presidency has a total budgetary allocation of N26.6 billion (N12.9 billion for personnel, N11. 1 billion for overhead and N2.5 billion capital development fund) next year, subject to upward or downward review by the lawmakers.
Specifically, the President will spend N1.9 billion on travels and transport, while others under the President’s office will spend N1.3 billion on local travels and transport, and another N621,067,913 on international travels and transport.
Vice President Namadi Sambo will spend a total on N42.4million on travels and transport, while others under his office will spend N19.6 million for local travels and transport and N10.7 million for international travel and transport. Another N12 million will be spent on Local travel and transport (training).
President Jonathan will also spend N517.8 million on miscellaneous, N456 million on honorarium and sitting allowance and N60.8 million on publicity and advertisements; while Sambo will spend N117 million on miscellaneous, N15 million on honorarium and sitting allowance, as well as N35 million on publicity and advertisements.
According to the proposal obtained by Daily Trust in Abuja, both the president and his vice have been allocated a combined sum of N1.2 billion to be spent on food stuffs and kitchen items.
A sum of N310 million will be spent on drugs and other medical and laboratory equipment.
Other expenses include the sum of N13.5 million on the feeding of wild life at the State House zoo. The presidential air fleet has a total budget allocation of N5.3 billion with only N36.1 million as salaries while the remaining sums will be spent on overheads and capital expenditure.
The office of the National Security Adviser (NSA) was allocated the sum of N84.1 billion out of which N20 billion is for capital expenditure, N64.1 billion for recurrent. Of the N64.1 billion only a party sum of N268.4 million is for salaries.
According to the NSA’s budget details, N1.3 billion is to be spent on security services, N15 million on fueling of generators, N20.8 million on food, and N11.1 million on local travel.
The Federal Government due to the drop in prices of oil, proposed a budget of N4.3trillion. Capital expenditure was cut to N633.53 billion as against N1.552 trillion in 2014, but recurrent expenditure was raised to N2.616 trillion as against N2.468 trillion in 2014
